With MyKey™ you may also limit stereo volume to 45 percent of its maximum output. Safety features like the Belt Minder® System cannot be disabled and the audio system will be muted if the car is started and seat belts are not buckled. The system works on one standard key supplied with your vehicle or any programmed spare key.
The 2011 Lincoln MKT is equipped with the SOS Post-Crash Alert System™. In the event the airbags are deployed and the safety belt pretensioner is activated, the vehicle’s horn and emergency flashers, security approach lamps are illuminated, to assist first responders in locating the vehicle. After the system is deployed, you may deactivate it, by using your key fob, pressing the hazard switch or cycling the ignition switch a few times.
