The majority of the EcoSport models will come standard equipped with a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, configured for front-wheel drive and operated by a six-speed automatic transmission. Although we have yet to confirm the performance numbers, regarding horsepower and fuel efficiency, the EcoSport variant found abroad boasts 123 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. Available power comes from the optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, configured for all-wheel drive, with performance specs expected around 140 horsepower and 137 lb-ft of torque; once again, based on statistics plucked from roads overseas.
With respect to fuel economy, the 2019 EcoSport return figures of 27 city mpg and 29 highway mpg. So, for anyone looking for a convenient commuter car that can also conquer carpool and any quick weekend getaways, the EcoSport delivers across the board while still providing the utlitiy of a small crossover.
