Introducing the New Redesigned 2025 Ford Explorer

The SUV That Defines Driving Comfort and Prioritizes Performance

There’s a reason the Ford Explorer is one of the best-selling SUVs in America, and with the redesigned 2025 Ford Explorer, it gets even better. Find yours at Irwin Ford Lincoln.

A Fresh Face

A quick look outside the 2025 Ford Explorer and you’ll see that it’s different. The changes are subtle, but they make a difference. You'll notice that the grille is much larger, but the design depends on the trim. Each one has its own style. There are also sleek LED headlights in the front, and the rear liftgate has new LED taillights around the back. This is a mid-cycle refresh, so it’s probably not surprising that there are also some new wheel designs. From the 18-inch wheels to the 21-inch wheels, you’ll see some new looks.

Big Tech Upgrades

Did the last touchscreen just not seem large enough for you? Not to worry; the 2025 Ford Explorer now comes with a 13.2-inch wide-format touchscreen with an upgraded infotainment system. Ford is calling it the Ford Digital Experience, which uses Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Right next to this massive touchscreen, there’s a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster that sits right in front of the driver. This is where Google Maps will display directions if you need them, or if you have an Apple phone, you can choose Apple Maps instead.

Look! Hands-Free Driving!

If you’ve heard about Ford’s Blue Cruise hands-free driving system but haven’t experienced it yet, now is the time. It’s available with the ST-Line, the ST, and the Platinum trims. You’ll even get a 90-day free trial to check it out before you have to start paying for a subscription. The latest version of the Blue Cruise can not only take over the steering, acceleration, and braking, but it can also change lanes for you and reposition the Explorer in your travel lane to keep you at a reasonable distance from vehicles in the lanes next to you.

Time to Get Comfortable

In addition to all the new tech, the 2025 Ford Explorer feels more open and spacious than the previous models. The dash is pushed forward to give the cabin some extra space, and the redesigned cabin has more soft-touch materials on many of the surfaces. Under the touchscreen, a tray gives you a place to put your phone. It’s not only tucked out of the way, but the tray also serves as a wireless charger.
