If you start adding options to your vehicles, the Mach-E pricing maxes out at around $60,000 while the Model Y pricing can reach almost $59,000. So, it’s hard to say who’s the clear winner in this category, but the Mustang does have that slightly lower entry-level price making it just a little bit easier to buy one.

Cargo Area

As crossovers, these EVs should be up to the test when it comes to storage space. The Mustang Mach-E accomplishes a maximum cargo area of 64.4 cubic feet, with the frunk contributing 4.7 cubic feet to that total. The Model Y slightly beats out the Mustang, with a total of 72.1 cubic feet when the 4.1 cubic-foot frunk is added into the count.

Performance

Both the Tesla Model Y and Mustang Mach-E boast 0-60 times of 3.5 seconds when the top trim is selected, despite differing batteries and power ratings. A faster base model is a plus in anyone’s book.
