2015 Ford Transit Van Arrives at Irwin Ford

The completely redesigned 2015 Ford Transit has landed at Irwin Ford! This versatile full-size van is designed with commercial applications in mind, and can be tailored to meet the needs of your business. The Transit does everything from hauling cargo to hauling people, and is available as either a cargo van (that comes with three different body lengths and three different roof heights) or a passenger van that can seat 8, 10, 12, or 15 passengers, depending on the model you choose.

Because of the numerous configurations of the Transit, cargo volume can range from a minimum of 246.7 cubic feet to a maximum of 487.3 cubic feet. The 2015 Transit can handle payloads up to 4,650 pounds and up to 420 pounds of weight on the roof.

There are also three different engines available in the new Transit: a 3.7L V6, a turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and a 3.2L I-5 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel.

In terms of construction, the Transit is built using high-strength steel and boron steel to make a unibody construction that is lighter than body-on-frame, while still strong and durable.

The Transit may be designed for work, but that does not mean that is just utilitarian. There are a variety of convenient technology features such as hands-free calling, Bluetooth connectivity, and a GPS-enabled “black box” called Crew Chief that allows you to track the location, speed, airbag status, and remaining oil life of your vehicle, all from the comfort of your own computer.
